A Little Witchy Magic for Fall
There’s just something about fall crafting that makes me want to pull out all the spooky papers, bats, stars, and—of course—witches! For this card, I reached for the Witchy Woman stamp set from Unity Stamp Company and created a vintage-inspired Halloween scene filled with rich purples, black, gold, and just a touch of sparkle.
I love how this card feels a little sassy and a little mysterious. And that sentiment? “She had every reason to not behave.” I mean… enough said! 😉🧙♀️

✂️ Step 1: Build the Background
I started by choosing several coordinating pieces from the Whiskers & Witchery patterned paper collection. I die cut the main patterned paper panel with the Deckle & Stitches Nesting dies and layered it onto a purple card base. The mix of stars, moons, bats, and vintage Halloween patterns really helped set the mood for the card.
🧙♀️ Step 2: Stamp & Color
Next, I stamped the fabulous witchy woman and her kitty and colored the image with Copic markers. I wanted her to have that classic vintage Halloween look, so I kept the colors rich and a little dramatic. Her purple dress works perfectly with the patterned papers and really makes her pop against the dark background.
🌙 Step 3: Create the Moon
For the moon, I die cut a large crescent from white cardstock. Then I used Distress Ink to give it a slightly aged, weathered appearance. It doesn't need to be perfectly smooth—the little imperfections help give the moon that old-fashioned Halloween feel.

🖤 Step 4: Add the Sentiment
I stamped the sentiment onto black cardstock using white pigment ink, then covered it with white embossing powder and heat embossed it. After embossing, I fussy cut each individual sentiment piece and arranged them across the moon. Breaking the sentiment apart this way gives the card a fun, almost ransom-note-style look!
✨ Step 5: Bring on the Details!
Now came my favorite part—the embellishments!
I added:
🖤 Glittery black bats
⭐ Glow-in-the-dark stars
✨ Gold string
