Created with Love and Jolande

It's the last Friday of 2023 and I can't believe we're about to celebrate the new year!  I'm capping off the year with a little book highlighting a beautiful Unity design team member who also designs stamps, Jolande van Oosterhout. This year I got to meet Jolande and several other design team members for the first time on a trip to Unity in New London, MN.  Jolande has such an inspirational spirit, I felt she was a perfect way round out this year of creativity and crafting!

I started by die cutting every pattern from the new Bohemian Dream Paper Pack using the new Scallops & Arches Nesting dies. Next, I paired backs and fronts so that I'd know which way to stamp on each piece, making sure to pick the covers accordingly. Before adhering the pairs together, I score the flat edges 3/16" and fold over. This will be the bind for your little booklet. For this cover, I stamped the front using images from "You Can Do It" Stamp Kit.

The next pages have stamping from "Better with Friends" Stamp Kit and some rub-ons. Adding ink  on the edge will add more of a vintage and distressed look.

The next set features the stunning floral from the "Hug" Stamp Kit.  This big bold flower is just beautiful over this newsprint paper. On the opposite page, I added some similarly colored ephemera.

For this next set, I used the florals from "Better with Friends" on the left panel and the sentiment from "I Am Who I Am" stamp set is stamped on a smaller stitched arch with eyelets and jute.

And for the final panel on the back cover, I used the funky florals and sentiment from "I Am Who I Am" stamp kit. I colored the flowers with Copics before heat embossing it. Once it's all glued together, I used thin jute to tie the end and add another rustic element.

Before I close out the year on this blog, I want to say thank you so much to Angela and all the beautiful people at Unity who have made my crafty dreams come true on so many levels. I am so grateful for all of the amazing new friendships that have flourished from this group. I'm so inspired by the art from all of the talented folks on the Unity {show & tell} Facebook page. There is so much good in this group and I can't wait to see what the new year will bring us all!

Until next YEAR...  Happy Crafting!
