Unity Stamp Company is one of my favorite stamp companies. I remember seeing a YouTube vide of one of their "Angie's Girls" and fell in love. I'm not sure if it was the detailed stamp or the coloring, but I knew I would need to order one, or two... okay, I'm so close to free shipping, what's a few more.
Little did I know I was joining a whole other crafting community. The founders of Unity are amazingly strong women. Inspirational, to say the least. They have built such a strong company all while providing superb customer service and such a high quality product. So, it isn't a surprise that many of my cards are using their stamps. Here's one that was inspired by one of their recent online "challenges."
The challenge was to make a patterned background using on stamp and featuring that image. I had a few that were more in-line with the concept, but this image was floating in my head (like a butterfly).
I stamped the main girl first and then the butterflies around here. I stamped the sentiment and one more butterfly on a separate piece of scrap. I die cut the sentiment using MFT's Stitched Circles and used distress ink on the edges. I then fussy cut the butterfly, colored it with copics and added my favorite Wink of Stella. Like hot sauce, I put that sh*t on everything! LOL
I glued the stamped image onto black cardstock and added that to the pattered cardbase. Then I added the sentiment circle. To add a little dimension, I rolled a glue dog and adhered the butterfly on the circle. I gently rolled the edges so the butterfly would appear in the air.
I absolutely love how this all came together and I hope you find a little inspiration in this latest Unity Stamp Challenge. For more challenges and ideas using Unity Stamps, check out their Unity (Show & Tell) Facebook page.
