Happy Friday! Today I'm making a splash in this Friday's blog with some "No-Line" coloring featuring the new Positive Currents stamp set. This beautiful stamp set provides such a calm and serene vibe with two beautiful koi fish and two gently sketched lily pads. There's also a lotus flower and three lovely sentiments. I actually skipped the sentiments and used the new Happy Hello die set to send well wishes.
If you've never tried no-line coloring, the best thing to do is find a light Copic friendly ink (or an ink that works well with your choice of coloring medium) such as a light brown or light grey ink to stamp the images.
Using Copics, I colored the koi and lily pads using soft colors. Once I was done coloring, I used the Cloud & Wave Stencil and Speckled Egg Distress ink to create soft waves over the stamped images. This also gives the illusion that the fish are under water.
Lastly, I die cut the stamped background using the Scallop & Stitched Rectangle dies. Using olive card stock to mat the stamped background, I also die cut the sentiment three times in the space that would covered by the background to make use of the whole card stock.
