Now this Sassy Girl totally gets me! Hi everyone! It's Julissa of Paper Gems by Jules back on the blog today sharing another AWESOME sneak peek of the upcoming October Sassy & Crafty Co. release. Let me introduce Sassy Girl - Sing (and she's one of two beauties).
For this card, I wanted to use the fun colors of Sassy & Crafty's logo. I stamped her on and also stamped and fussy cut a mask for her. I colored her in and applied the mask. For the background, I used the Comic Book 2 stencil (you're going to want this one when it comes back in stock!). I started with using Distress Ink in Peacock Feathers. Then I offset the using Distress Ink Hickory Smoke. This creates a shadow. But then, I had to get crafty. I pulled out the Gina K. Glitz Glitter Gel in Turquoise Sea and used the same stencil, but only in the middle. This adds such a fun texture and it's hightlighted by the grey shadows.
Once it dried, I stamped the sentiment and matted it onto a few layers before adhering it to the white card base. The background totally works with this beautiful girl just jammin' to some good tunes.
