We Salute You 🇺🇸

Happy Friday, Crafty Friends! I hope you're all getting to enjoy this long weekend and celebrating Independence Day! This is Julissa of Paper Gems by Jules sharing a patriotic card for this upcoming 4th of July using America Girl and the new Wonky Stripes Background.

I started by stamping the America Girl and coloring her with Copic markers. Once. colored, I fussy cut her and even went the extra step to fussy cut the gaps between her arms and body. Totally not necessary, but if you do it, you can use a use a precision cutting tool. After cutting, I used a black Momento marker to fill in the white core edges. This just gives it a more solid look.

Next, I stamped the background using blue ink (closest I could find to the Copic color I used). This stamp is so versatile, you can use it with masculine and feminine cards.

I die cut some stars using some white scraps and made the A2 sized card base and another smaller star using the new Wild Cherry Luxury Card Stock. Using the same blue ink used for the background, I stamped the sentiment from the America Girl stamp set. Layering these pieces all on the card add dimension and interest to this card. For. a little extra interest, I added some glitter using the Nuvo Aqua Shimmer pen and some enamel dots.

Thank you so much for stopping the blog today and I hope you found some inspiration. Wishing you all a safe and happy holiday weekend!

Until next time... Happy Crafting!
