You're All Kinds of Wonderful!

Happy Friday, Unies! It's Julissa of Paper Gems by Jules here sharing a fun way to use the new "You Are All Kinds of Wonderful" stamp set. This stamp is a tall bouquet of lilacs. Now, my first instinct was to color this beautiful image using purples... I mean lilac is a shade of purple, right? Well, lilacs come in many colors! Who knew (I sure didn't!)?

Yep, these amazing flowers come in a beautiful variety of colors, so make sure to try this stamp in a variety of colors. For this post, I'll be sharing a blush color using R56, E04, RV32 and RV11.

To start, I stamped the floral twice and fussy cut them both out. Next, I stamped the sentiment on a 3.75" x 5" piece of off white card stock (it's the same card stock that I used for the lilac stamped images. Then I laid the floral over the card stock to see where I could trim it to make a top and bottom border. I trimmed those pieces based on where they'd lay on the card.

Using a little distress ink on the off white card stock to shadow where the florals would be, I also inked up the stamped florals with the same distress ink so that it would blend in with the paper. Then I colored the flowers with Copics. Before adhering the pieces down, I wrapped the top piece with black burlap string. I adhered them to the off-white piece by using double-sided foam tape on the back of each piece. The foam tape provides some depth to the images.

For the final touches, I adhered it to a 4" x 5.25" piece of black card stock and the onto a dusty rose colored card base. I wanted a little bling, so I used Pink Taffeta Stickles in the middle of the flowers. It's subtle, but adds just a touch of glimmer.

This new stamp set is special because it can fill a slimline as well as create fun borders on an A2 size card. I hope you found some inspiration in this post and can't wait to see how you color this beautiful new stamp set!!

Until next time... Happy Crafting!

Jules
