Butterflies Big and Small

Happy Friday, crafty friends! It’s April Fool’s Day, but I’m not fooling when I show you how BIG this beautiful new butterfly stamp is called “Butterfly Moment.” This gorgeous and giant stamp might just make your heart flutter when you see how many ways you can use it. Let’s start with the obvious use… a slimline card.

Isn’t she pretty in pink? For this card, I stamped this beauty on the Bubblegum Luxury Card stock. By stamping on this lovely pink cardstock, it gives a sweet base tone to color over. I colored the card with various shades of pink Copic markers.

Using a white gel pen and a black detail marker, I added little spots to add more interest to the card front. Once I die cut this piece, I added a little Dried Marigold Distress Ink on the edges which make this stunning image pop.

For this next card, I used this giant stamp to make a bold A2-sized card. For this one, I wanted to give it a more classic butterfly look. Using orange and yellow Copics, I colored the whole image in an ombre style. Then, taking the black Copic marker and filling in the lines and circles.

Bringing in some Blueprint Sketch Distress ink to the edges, just adds to this color scheme. I had to add some splatters to break up the background, and why not add some glitter using the Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Pens to add glitter details and glittery splatters. Just a great way to add a little detail and texture to your image.

I hope you see all the magic in this big, beautiful butterfly stamp! Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you found some inspiration. Until next time…

Happy Crafting!
