Gift Tags are Baking Spirits Bright

If there’s one thing I love about holiday crafting, it’s finding ways to turn simple supplies into something extra special! Today, I’m sharing three festive gift tags featuring the adorable gingerbread characters from Baking Spirits Bright. Each little gingerbread friend has a personality of their own, and I had so much fun creating three different looks with them!
These tags are a great reminder that you don’t always need to buy a whole new collection of supplies to create something wonderful. Sometimes, the magic is already waiting in your stash!
🎄 A Little Scandinavian Christmas Magic
I started with the beautiful Scandinavian Holiday Paper Pack and immediately fell in love with the traditional Christmas colors and charming patterns. I dug through my cardstock stash to find reds and greens that paired perfectly with the patterned papers. The combination of warm cream, festive red, and muted green creates such a cozy Scandinavian-inspired Christmas feel.
To add a little extra drama and dimension, I brought in the new Huge Snowflake Die (Limited Edition). These oversized snowflakes peek out from behind the tags, adding a beautiful wintry layer without taking the spotlight away from the gingerbread characters.
And of course, the classic Scalloped Circles Die was the perfect landing spot for each little character! The layered circles frame the images beautifully and give each tag a finished, polished look.
🍪 Three Gingerbread Friends, Three Festive Tags

1. A Sweet Christmas Hug
This little gingerbread friend brought along a furry buddy for the holidays! I love how the two characters look together, surrounded by greenery and festive details. The patterned paper, layered scalloped circles, and oversized snowflake create a tag that feels like a tiny Christmas scene.
This one would be adorable tied onto a gift for someone who loves the magic of Christmas, especially a friend who appreciates a little extra sweetness.

2. Too Cool for Christmas! 😎
Okay, can we talk about those sunglasses?! I just couldn't resist giving this candy-cane-carrying gingerbread man a little extra attitude. He is officially too cool for Christmas!
The bold red-and-cream stripes from the Scandinavian Holiday papers make the perfect backdrop, while the green scalloped circle pulls everything together. The big snowflake adds that extra layer of winter magic, and those sunglasses? They absolutely steal the show!
This tag would be perfect for a friend or family member with a great sense of humor. Because let's face it, even gingerbread men deserve their moment in the spotlight!

3. A Little Christmas Decorating
Our third gingerbread friend is hard at work decorating the Christmas tree! Standing on his little ladder, he's making sure every ornament is in just the right place. The coordinating green patterned paper and layered circles create a lovely backdrop for this festive scene.
I especially love how the traditional Christmas colors complement the image without overwhelming it. This tag would be wonderful on a gift for someone who loves decorating for the holidays or making their home feel extra cozy this time of year.
✂️ Shop Your Stash and Get Creative!
One of my favorite parts of making these tags was combining products I already had with a few special elements to bring everything together. We all have those little treasures tucked away in our craft rooms, just waiting for the right project!
Here are a few ideas for creating your own version:
Mix and match cardstock: Pull out your scraps and look for colors that coordinate with your favorite patterned paper.
Layer your shapes: Scalloped circles, plain circles, and other nesting dies make wonderful frames for stamped images.
Add dimension: Oversized snowflakes, die-cut foliage, and foam adhesive can give your tags extra depth.
Personalize your characters: Experiment with different colors, accessories, and embellishments to give each stamped image its own personality.
Make them gift-ready: Add twine or ribbon and leave a little room on the back for a handwritten message.
Supplies used:
Gift tags are such a fun way to use up smaller pieces of cardstock and patterned paper. They're also a great opportunity to experiment with layering and embellishments without committing to an entire card design.

🎁 Let's Make the Holidays a Little More Handmade!
These three gingerbread gift tags remind me why I love card making and paper crafting so much. With a few stamped images, coordinating papers, dies, and a little imagination, everyday craft supplies become something personal and memorable.
Whether you're wrapping presents for family, preparing gifts for friends, or adding a handmade touch to holiday treats, these sweet gingerbread characters are ready to make someone's Christmas a little brighter.
And remember, you don't have to recreate my tags exactly. Pull out your own stash, mix your favorite colors, and let your creativity lead the way!
Happy crafting, and may your holiday season be filled with sweet moments, handmade happiness, and just a little gingerbread mischief! ❤️🎄
