Christmas Glitter

Happy Friday everyone! I hope you're enjoying all of the amazing sales at Unity Stamp Company! If you haven't ordered your Ornamental Pines bundle set, make sure you get it (while supplies last). There are so many ways to use these amazing crafty supplies! This bundle includes:

  • Ornamental Pines Stamps (which has trees that can be removed from the background stamp that can be used separately)

  • Ornamental Pines Coordinating Die Set (which not only cuts out the trees, but also comes with four word dies)

  • Ornamental Pines Coordinating Stencil (which adds a little bling to your trees or can be used alone as seen in the card below)

  • Thermoweb Deco-foil Duo Gel

  • Gold and Silver Glitter Thermoweb Deco-Foil

As you've probably already seen, there are a lot of great sample project by the talented Unity design team that show so many great ways to use this fun new set. For today's card, I used the Ornamental Pines Stencil along with Thermoweb Deco-Foil Transfer Gel (Duo Gel is even better because it doesn't require a laminator!) and Unity's Gold Glitter Deco-Foil. For those that are new to using transfer gels to foil, here are some tips I learned.

  • Careful using pixie spray when foiling. Sometimes the Pixie spray will stick to you paper and get foiled too. If. you're using a solid colored paper (core of paper is the same as the exterior), you can use a sand eraser to remove the foil.

  • Patience... let the transfer gel dry. I left mine to dry 24 hours. This is a great way to mass produce by doing all the gelling first and the next day foil them.

  • Remember it's handmade. If you make a little mistake, know that it might be a great way to embellish, cut it up and use what you like or take it as a learning curve. And don't forget to ask in our Unity {Show & Tell} Facebook Group; there are so many helpful crafters.

For the sentiment, I used the previously released October 2020 Sentiment Kit: Heart of Christmas stamp set along with the NEWLY released coordinating die set. As if this sentiment kit couldn't get any better, these dies are just a wonderful addition to this set.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope you enjoy a crafty weekend and make sure to keep an eye out for all the amazing sales this month... because you should totally treat yo' self!

Until next week... Happy Crafting!
