Stenciling with a Little Weirdo

Let’s just say it — being a little weirdo is a compliment. And the new Little Weirdo stamp set from Unity Stamp Co. celebrates that perfectly. It’s quirky, expressive, and full of personality, which makes it such a joy to create with.
I made two cards using this set, and what I love most is how easily it adapts to completely different looks and moods. The character is full of charm, which makes coloring especially fun. You can go bold and bright or soft and subtle, and it still feels cohesive and intentional.

For the first card, I leaned into color and contrast. I wanted the character to be the star, so I used vibrant tones and playful layering to really let the image pop. The background adds energy without overpowering the design, and the sentiment reinforces that confident, embrace-your-weird side.

For the second card, I softened everything. The layout is a little calmer, the tones are more muted, and the sentiment takes on a sweeter feel. It shows how the exact same stamp can tell a completely different story depending on your color palette and composition choices.
One of my favorite parts of creating these two cards was using the same stencil in different ways. On the first card, I applied the stencil with bold ink blending to create a strong, graphic background that adds movement and personality. On the second card, I used the same stencil much more lightly, creating a subtle texture that supports the focal image instead of competing with it. It’s a great reminder that you don’t need a huge collection of supplies to get variety — just a little creativity in how you use what you already have.
That versatility is what makes this stamp set so special. It works beautifully for friendship cards, birthday cards, encouragement notes, or just a little “I see you and I love your weird” message. It feels playful but heartfelt at the same time.
If you’re looking for a stamp set that invites you to experiment, have fun with color, and celebrate individuality, Little Weirdo absolutely delivers.
