Vintage Forest Charm and Winnie the Pooh

Happy Friday! It's Julissa of Paper Gems by Jules on the blog with lots of Pooh, but the really cute kind. 😜 Today is my oldest son's 25th birthday and I really didn't know what to make for him. Then I remembered that his baby room was all Winnie the Pooh. And then, I saw Echo Noble's video stamping on the new Vintage Forest Charm Patterned Paper... and a card was born (three cards actually).

Let's start with the birthday card featuring the "Special Like You" stamp kit. The color on the patterned paper was just so light and pretty with a watercolored look and a subtle polkadot background. Using bold colors still allows the image to stand out. I used a light brown at first trying to do a no-line coloring look, but it didn't work for me, so after I was done coloring it, I restamped it with VersaFine Clair in a Pinecone color which is a rich brown. It keeps the card into earth tones.

This one was a simple stamp and colored image, but the beautiful patterned paper just fills all the empty space. I used the sweet image from "The Smallest Things" stamp kit. This paper is so pretty, you might want to pick up to packs of it!

For this third card, I used the "I Think It's Called Love" stamp kit. You can slightly see the stripes through Pooh's face, but it's so minor and it all just comes together. Each of these cards was glued directly on the card base and are easy to mail out to a loving paper hug!
