What Do You Think About Hot Pink Pickles?

Hot pink pickles?! Say what? Pickles is her name... cupcakes are her game!  Say hi to this sassy zebra that wants to encourage some sweetness in your life with a cupcake 🧁 (or two).  Here's another debut of the new August release featuring Pickles: Party Animal!

For this card, I used the Zebra stencil for the background, but not in the normal way.  I did dry embossing.  I used my Big Shot and an embossing mat and pressed the stencil into the hot pink cardstock.

Here's how my sandwich worked:

  • Big Shot Layer Base (lowest level)

  • Cutting Plate

  • Embossing Mat

  • Paper

  • Stencil

  • Cutting Plate

It's hard to tell, but you can see some of the subtle dimension on the paper.  I distressed the edge using Picked Raspberry Distress ink and Black Soot Distress ink.  Now for some fun layers.

Pickles isn't your basic zebra.  She's got hot pink and black stripes.  These stripes continue onto the card with some bold black and white striped paper.  I also used a fun tag die to have the sentiment hang on this card using a pink brad.

I hope you're as happy as I am to have this cute Pickles with us today and I don't know about you... but I think I need a cupcake. 🧁

Thanks for stopping by and I'd love to hear what you think of this fun card. If you have any questions or comment, feel free to post them at the bottom of this blog. This is so cute. I LOVE her name, too. Our little grandson has a hammerhead shark stuffed animal, his favorite, named Pickles. So this name is special to me :) I love the colors you chose.
