But First, Coffee

Writer: JulesJules

Happy Friday crafty friends!  It's Julissa of Paper Gems by Jules on the blog kicking off a new month using the March 2025 KOM: Chapters and Crossings. This month's stamps are detailed and delightful, so let's get inky with them!

I started with the adorable little mouse and used the Grunge Cuts {tag dies} to die cut it out. I colored it using Copic markers and Distress Inks.  The colors were inspired by the Coffee Lovers paper pack.

I used the Scallop & Stitched Rectangle Nesting dies to die cut the background, but also used the Wonderful Washi {die set} to die cut a sentiment from one of the sheets in the Coffee Lovers paper pack. Using a 1" circle punch I stamped and punched the "love you" sentiment from the KOM. I wanted to give it the look of a button so I first added some Vintage Photo Distress Ink and then added Versamark with clear embossing powder (repeat 3-4 times) to create a thick clear cover.

Before layering all the pieces, I added a cute brad to the tag. I used thin foam tape behind some of the elements to create a little more depth. But all the layers create such a fun card and I absolutely love the two sentiments coming together.
