It’s officially that magical time of year when the craft table is covered in plaid paper, glittery scraps, and the faint smell of coffee and Distress Ink. Today, I’m sharing two festive cards featuring two adorable new stamps from Unity Stamp Company — A Little Ho Ho Ho and A Little Dash.

What makes these cards so fun is that they share the same layout, but each one has its own little twist. Using one design to create two coordinating cards is a huge time-saver when you’re trying to get a bunch of handmade holiday cards done — and it’s a great way to keep your crafting momentum going!

🦌 Card 1 – “A Little Christmas Cheer”

Let’s start with the reindeer — because how can you not smile at that sweet face?

For this card, I kept the design cheerful and bright with a plaid patterned paper background from the Season Starter Paper Pack. I stamped the reindeer image on a die-cut stitched rectangle panel using Jet Black Ink, then colored him with Copic markers in warm browns, reds, and greens.

To make the image feel cozy and vintage, I softly blended Distress Ink in Vintage Photo around the edges, with just a touch of Weathered Wood for shadow. That simple step adds warmth and really pulls your eye toward the center of the card.

Once colored, I stamped the sentiment — “A little Christmas cheer for someone so dear” — right next to the reindeer. To finish, I layered the panel over the plaid paper with foam tape for dimension and added two little red cardstock strips on the corners for a rustic, scrapbook-style detail.

🎅 Card 2 – “Have a Holly Jolly Everything!”

Now for our second card — this jolly fellow with his fluffy beard and tiny holly sprig just screams Christmas spirit.

I used the same stitched rectangle layout, but switched the background to a deep red patterned paper for a bolder holiday look. The coloring stayed true to traditional Christmas tones: reds, greens, and neutrals, with grey shading in the beard and a touch of blush on the nose.

Once again, I blended Vintage Photo Distress Ink around the edges to tie both cards together. For a little variation, I placed the sentiment “Have a holly jolly everything!” at the top and added die cut strips of washi tape from the patterned paper on opposite corners to mimic the look of taped photos — playful and perfectly festive!

Both cards have that hand-made warmth that makes sending happy mail at Christmastime feel extra special.

💡 Crafting Tip

When you find a card layout you love, use it as a template to create a matching set with different images or sentiments. Change up your background papers and corner accents, but keep the same proportions. It’s one of the easiest ways to mass-produce cards without losing that personal, handmade touch.

🎄 Final Thoughts

I love how both cards feel like a matching set but still have their own personalities — the reindeer feels soft and sweet, while Santa brings that classic Christmas cheer. Same design, two moods, double the fun!
