A Little Mum Love Can Go a Long Way
There’s just something about mums that makes me think of crisp fall days, cozy sweaters, and beautiful gardens bursting with color. 🌸 When I saw the new September 2026 Whit Kit from Unity Stamp Company, I knew I wanted to give these gorgeous blooms a little vintage, heirloom feel. For this card, I went with bright yellow and pink mums, surrounded by vintage-inspired papers, soft distressing, and a few simple embellishments. The result is a card that feels both cheerful and nostalgic.
Mums come in SO many beautiful colors, which makes this stamp perfect for experimenting with your favorite coloring medium.
To create this card, I started by stamping the large Heirloom Mum image onto a light-colored panel and coloring the flower with vibrant pinks and yellows. To give the card some personality, I layered it onto vintage-style patterned paper and added a little distressing around the edges. The postage-style die cut adds just the right amount of detail without taking away from the beautiful flower. A few black embellishments and a simple sentiment finish everything off. And I absolutely love that sentiment:
“Holding you close from here.”
