This latest sentiment stamp set is just so near and dear to me. The "We Are Family" stamp set is a modern sentiment set for all families, even the blended ones like mine. One of my favorite sentiments in this set is "We aren't step or half." Often times those words have negative connotations. I personally like to use "bonus," like "bonus-son" or "bonus-mom."
This sweet card is a cute example of a blended family using the bears and bunnies (from the Bearly Happy Birthday stamp set). I stamped the image and colored it in and then fussy cut the same image using masking paper. Once the mask was applied, I lightly blended some light blue ink around the image. Leaving the mask on, I used the itty bitty heart stencil from the Layered Fall Stencil set with pink ink. After that, I'm able to remove the mask and stamp the sweet sentiments, "Family, the last names may not match, but the hearts certainly do."
