There’s just something pawsitively awesome about dachshunds that instantly makes a card more fun! This month at Poppy Stamps, the June theme is “Pawsitively Awesome,” and I couldn’t resist creating a pair of cheerful cards starring these adorable long pups.
Whether you’re making a birthday card, a happy hello, or simply creating something to make someone smile, these playful dachshund dies are guaranteed to steal the show!
Leaping Into Happiness

The first card features two energetic dachshunds happily bouncing across a bright yellow background. The clean design and colorful confetti details give this card such a playful, carefree vibe.
I paired the pups with a bold hand-lettered sentiment that says “choose happy” because honestly… how can you not smile when you see these little dogs leaping around?
The soft geometric border paper adds just the right amount of color without distracting from the adorable focal images. A few enamel dots finish everything off with extra happy energy.
Yappy Birthday Wishes

For the second card, I created a fun birthday design featuring one extra-long dachshund carrying a bunch of balloons. This card completely embraces the whimsical side of cardmaking and feels perfect for dog lovers of all ages.
The bright balloon colors paired with twine strings create lots of movement and dimension, while the layered “happy birthday” sentiment ties the entire design together beautifully.
And can we talk about that dachshund? I love how the long body stretches across the card — it adds so much personality and humor!
