Happy Friday, Unity friends! This is Julissa of Paper Gems by Jules back on the blog to set your weekend off with lots of Love using the Say It With Love - January 2020 Sentiment Kit. These big word stamps are great to make bold statements, but today, I'm using it to create a fun background for some more Valentines.
I stamped the LOVE stamp over and over in the same color in different directions to create a fun background. Then using the new Scallops and Rectangles Nesting Dies, I die cut the background. Using the same soft pink paper. Next, I stamped One Crazy Bird onto Copic friendly paper and that same stamped background. I colored in the bird on the Copic friendly paper and fussy cut the bird cutting out anything outside of the body. Then I glued that onto the stamped background.
This adds a hint of dimension without any bulk, but also allows you to color in the cute bird without losing any of the fun details of the image. Last I stamped the sentiment and die cut by La-La Land Crafts called "Heart Speech Bubbles Die."
Pretty much did the same thing here using the Sweet Sprinkled Donut stamp set. This time I added foam tape behind the donut and created a little shadow under the donut.
To give this donut a realistic look, I added Nuvo Crystal Glaze to give the icing a glossy look. Almost makes you want to take a bite of it!
