These are a Few of My Favorite Things

Hi everyone! Today I wanted to share some of my favorite crafty things that I use all the time in my craft room. There are also so many sales this weekend, hopefully you can find great deals on these items and many more! (Please note that some of the links provided below are affiliate links. Using them is GREATLY appreciated.)

Inks:

  • Copic Markers: I use Copics on almost everything... I use it like some people use hot sauce. Head to Blick Art Materials for a great deal on Copics... $5.85 per sketch marker!!! Spend over $45 and you get free shipping!

  • Distress Ink: These inks were an early purchase in my crafting career and they are now an essential! I have all the ink cubes because of storage, but invested in the refills so they always stay juicy. What I like about distress inks is that they do many things: ink blending for backgrounds, shades for edges, great with stencils, they react with water and you can even water color with them! Another must have in your craft room. Joann's currently has door buster deals on some of the mini inks at $5.99 each!!!

Stamping Tool:

  • Misti: Most Innovative Stamping Tool Invented... and they're not lying. I don't even know how I wasn't riddled with anxiety before this tool. And it's on sale right now through November 29th!!!

  • If you already have a Misti, check out Taylored Expressions Alignment Panels. These are perfect to ensure that your sentiments are straight or that next layer lines up properly.

Paper:

  • Accent Opaque White 100lbs Paper: This is my go to paper for Copic coloring and card bases. It's not a great as a Bristol Smooth paper, but it's great for some regular card bases, standard Copic coloring and light ink blending. It's sturdy and a fairly bright white and all for under $10.00.

Scissors:

  • Cutter Bee Scissors: I don't like to fussy cut, but when I do, these scissors are my fave...and I have a few brands, but this is thee easiest to work with.

Die Cutting:

  • Cutting Mat: I use the original Tim Holtz Vagabond machine. I love it and I got it on clearance. But I recently invested in the new Scrapbook.com Magic Mat and it's super cool! It's a self healing mat that you use with your die cutting. We've all watched those videos on how to flatting out your warped mats... well you won't need that anymore!

  • Stitched Rectangle Border Die: My go to die is a stitched rectangle. I mainly use Lawn Fawn's Large and Small Stitched Rectangles, but there are so many out there. This classic die gives a nice touch to any card, even the masculine ones! Here's a link to several different stitched border dies at Scrapbook.com

Storage:

  • Craft Tower: I didn't know I needed this, until I needed it. I keep my glues, some mixed media stuff, white embossing powder and the trusty White Distress Paint. This keeps things neat and easily accessible.

Scrapbooking:

  • Cricut... If you're a paper crafter, you kind of need this. As a scrapbooker, this is just amazing! You can make visual layouts, fonts in any size and create so much more! I've made banners and t-shirts, but the lists go on and on! Check out the latest Cricut Maker and all their bundles... and they have some sales too!

I hope some of these become your favorite things, too. Thanks for stopping by and if you have any questions about any of these items, feel free to reach out!

Until next time... happy crafting!
