Whispering Pines

Happy Friday, crafty friends! This is Julissa of Paper Gems by Jules on the blog today sharing a wintery card for this season. If you missed the deadline for those Christmas cards, or if you'd like to send a "Just Because" card to a friend, take a look at the Whispering Pines stamp set by Ann Corbiere Scott.

When I pulled out this stamp set, I first noticed the curve of the pines in the larger stamp and thought it would pair so well with the Scallops & Circles die set. I had some fun plaid patterned paper in my stash and pulled colors from there.

I stamped two of the images and fussy cut them both out. I lined the images over the circle to make sure that I spaced out the sentiment. There was a little too much blank space at the bottom of the circle so I stamped the pine and colored it lightly.

For the second card, I paired these pines with the Dashes and Frills Hearts die set. Again, lining up the image with the shape of the heart, and stamping some pines to fill in the gaps, this pinecone is a sweet wintery reminder to dream BIG.

Don't you love all the detail in this simple image. It's just another example of the amazing benefit of Unity's red rubber stamps. I often will search random words on their site to see what stamps I might have missed. There are so many hidden gems. So make sure to pick up some new red rubber stamping treasures for the new year!
