A Big & Easy Card with Pooh

There’s something so timeless and comforting about Winnie the Pooh — and this adorable BIG image makes for the sweetest card centerpiece! I couldn’t resist creating a simple yet striking design using this jumbo bear and a warm honey-toned palette.

The Star of the Show
Let’s talk about size first — this Pooh is BIG! He fills almost the entire front of an A2 card, which means you don’t need much else to make an impact. Just stamp, color, and you’ve got yourself a card that’s as heartwarming as a jar of honey.

Easy Coloring with Distress Inks
Coloring such a large image might look intimidating, but trust me — it’s super easy with Distress Inks and a few small detail brushes. Here’s what I did:
Stamped Pooh on smooth white cardstock using a hybrid black ink.
Used a small brush to lightly blend layers of Wild Honey, Fossilized Amber, and Scattered Straw Distress Inks.
Built depth around the edges with a touch more Wild Honey for that classic Pooh glow.
Finished the nose with a touch of white gel pen for shine and dimension.
That’s it! The ink blending gives you a soft, storybook look — no markers required.

Finishing Touches
To complete the card, I layered Pooh over a vintage paper background from the Pooh’s Vintage Storybook Paper Pack. The scalloped die frame adds a gentle, whimsical border. For the sentiment, a simple bold “hello” die-cut was all that was needed — because Pooh says it all with that sweet little face!

Products Used
Ranger Distress Inks - Wild Honey, Fossilized Amber, Scattered Straw
Cardstock: White heavy-weight cardstock (for base and stamping)
💛 TIP: If you want a more vintage vibe, lightly blend ink around the card edges with a dry brush. It gives that old storybook charm — perfect for a nostalgic look!
Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you found some inspiration.
Until next time... Happy Crafting!
