Adding Subtle Dimension

Happy Friday crafty friends! This is Julissa of Paper Gems by Jules on the blog today with a clean and simple card with a liiiiiiittle bit of dimension (perfect for mailing). And it features the latest in the In the Light series : Serenity Circle; Where Hope Blooms Again Stamp Set.
Let's get inky.

I started by die cutting white card stock using the largest Deckled & Stitched die set. From there, I stamped the open flower and the sentiment using VersaFine Clair ink and let the ink dry. Once the ink is dry, I used Distress Ink to create a light blue halo around it.

Next, I stamped the flower again and used colored pencils to color the flower. I also like to blend the pencil in with Gamsol. Once blended, I fussy cut the delicate flower out.

Before attaching the flower to the background, I added thin foam tape under the ends of the petals and adhered to the card front. The stem and leaves are on the paper, but the actual flower has a very slim added dimension.

Lastly, I used the colored pencil on the ground and blended it with the gamisol and added clear enamel dots for added whimsy. I attached the card front to a bright green card base to complete the card.
