Cat Silhouettes and Backgrounds

Happy Friday, crafty friends! Today is all about how to create a variety of backgrounds using the new Cat Silhouette stamps: Purrfect Playtime, Whisker Watch and Fluffy Feline Frolic Silhouette stamps. Using some colored card stock and the Balloon Layering stencil, it was easy to make a. variety of cards for various needs. Let's get inky!

Let's start with the Fluffy Feline Frolic stamp kit on light blue card stock. Using Distress Inks: Prize Ribbon, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot, I created a night scene. Using white pain splatters brings out the stars.

Rather than stamping a sentiment, I used one of the Cut Apart Sentiment Strips and adhered it with foam tape. For this card front, I matted it with white and black card stock before adhering to the white A2 card base. Let's move on to the next one.

Using the Whisker Watch stamp kit along with Fur Baby Love stamp kit, I created a simple cat sympathy card. I stamped the cat on kraft card stock and used Antique Linen, Vintage Photo and Black Soot Distress Inks to create the background.

For a little extra, I added some gold sequins and layered it using white and black card stock.

Now let's do a birthday card for cat lovers.

Let's add some colorful balloons using the Balloon Layering stencils to create this fun background. Using distress inks again, I used only ONE of the layering stencils and flipped it over to get the other layers. Distress inks used: Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed, Dried Marigold & Ripe Persimmon.

I used Heart of Autumn for the sentiment, but this is also a fun way to use the foilable Transfer Adhesives by Unity with the same sentiments. Sprinkled some sequins and this card is done!
