Fairyland Card

Happy Friday! Let's enter this weekend with a little magic! This is Julissa of Paper Gems by Jules on the blog with the new Fairyland Gateway stamp kit and it is just pure magic! There are so many great ways to use this stamp set and I chose to make a fun shaped card inspired by the shape of one of the doorway.

To start, I die cut three of the shaped background to make the card. Two for the card base, and one for the card front to color. For the card front, I used Distress Oxides in Dried Marigold, Wild Honey, Crackling Campfire and Bundled Sage to color the background. I heat set it a bit and then went in with a stencil with lots of circles and white pigment ink to create a bokeh background look.

Next, I stamped and colored the similarly shaped fairy doorway. I pulled out the February 2023 Kit of the Month: Happy Soul and used the mushroom image from that kit. I clipped out the bird and cut the mushrooms in half to put them on both sides of the door way.

Once I adhered the mushrooms, I used foam tape to adhere the doorway to add some dimension. I put this piece back into my Misti and stamped the sentiment and a fairy using VersaFine Clair in Nocturne and let it dry. Before adhering it to the card base, let's decorate the inside, because there's so much to this pretty stamp kit.

On the top of the card base (as to leave room for your own sweet words on the lower part), I stamped the other fairy and another coordinating sentiment from the stamp kit using VersaFine Clair ink. I just love how detailed these stamps are!
