Happy Friday! Today we're heating up the summer with this fun and easy summer background idea that highlights the beautiful image from the new July 2023 Kit of the Month: Anchored by Love. This new Kit of the Month is full of beautiful summer images that work perfectly with these fun backgrounds, so let's get inky!
To start I cut down four pieces of watercolor card stock to A2-size. Using Lindy's Magical Shakers, I lightly dabbed some of the powder on one of the sheets. (Note: You don't need a lot as these are highly pigmented powder inks and they go a long way as you'll see.) From there, I sprayed water and used a watercoloring brush to spread the ink.
I then smooshed the next panel into the inked up to create another. I did this two more times and created four fully inked backgrounds. This is a great way to create unique cards very quickly.
